FAQ
Q1: I'd like to delete a stamp on the icon.
A1: Icons with stamps are considered as the same as usual custom icons. The procedure of deleting stamps is the same to delete usual custom icons. First choose the icon you want to erase, then choose "Get info..." from "File" menu. Click the icon with the stamp which appeared on the left to the "Get info" window. Make sure a frame is displayed, and select "Clear" under "Edit". Then the icon with a stamp is deleted.
Q2: Can I delete just stamps from icons? I stamped onto an icon on which a custom icon is already attached.
A2: Just say "No". If you stamped on the icon on which a custom icon is already applied, the custom icon will be drawn over by the stamp. If you want to keep the original custom icon, you need to save the custom icon into another place.
Q3: I got an alert that says 'The application "TetsubinStamp" could not be opened, because the Scripting Finder is not present.' when I opened TetsubinStamp.
A3: TetsubinStamp requires MacOS 7.5 or later version, or MacOS 7.1.2 with "Scriptable Finder". Make sure "Finder Scripting Extension" is in "Extensions" folder of the "System Folder". This extension "Finder Scripting Extension" would be installed even on Easy Install. This extension would not exist after MacOS 8 because it is included in "Finder".
Q4: I tried to stamp on an alias icon, but the stamp appeared on the original icon of the alias icon.
A4: It happens when you use such utilities as "Luncher" or "DragThing (version 1.6.2). In order to avoid this trouble, these utilities should not be used. Stamping via "File" menu, or drag & drop into Finder in just case of alias. "Luncher" does not work for folder or disk by drag & drop.
Q5: I want to add more stamps.
A5: You can have more stamp choices by putting stamp files onto "Stamps" folder. "Stamps" folder found in the same directory as TetsubinStamp is in.
Q6: I want to distribute TetsubinStamp to such media as bbs, internet, and/or others.
A6: TetsubinStamp is free to be distributed for non-commercial purpose. However, any changes and/or modifications would not be allowed, except for encoding on BinHex or MacBinary. I would appreciate if you let me know before/after distribution. Any type of commercial distribution must have prior approval before distributing. Please contact at:
